Playa Pal lets Burning Man participants plan and navigate the event without internet. It bundles an event database, a whiteout‑proof compass, a camp gifts board, and a local LLM for conversational help, all stored on the phone. The app is built in React Native with SQLite and FTS5 for fast search, and it shares data via QR or AirDrop so no server is required. Users can map friends, search events, and get directions even in signal‑dead zones, making it a reliable companion for the festival.
