Interactive 3D Earth map of literary and philosophical figures
The project lets users explore a curated collection of writers, poets, philosophers and thinkers positioned on a realistic 3D Earth, using Three.js for rendering and smooth globe navigation. Hovering shows a light preview while clicking opens a centered, encyclopedia‑style card with biography and works, backed by a data pipeline that fetches, validates and resizes portraits. It targets educators, researchers and curious readers who want an immersive, geographic view of cultural history. Compared to generic 3D maps, it provides verified, searchable persona data and a narrative tour, making the experience both informative and visually engaging.
